When used alongside a PC and the device specific software, X32 Edit, this console becomes an extremely powerful piece of equipment that really makes the process of producing music a lot more seamless. This is mainly due to the USB Audio Interface which is the feature of this device that makes it really special as it allows you to send 16 stereo channels out of your PC to the desk while receiving 16 stereo back from the desk into your PC simultaneously. Essentially your PC can play back a 16 channel mix while recording 16 channels at exactly the same time. I have been using this desk in conjunction with Reason 11, with 8 stereo channels permanently assigned to Reason 11 and the other 8 stereo channels assigned yo external equipment.

This is personally my ideal set up and having the ability to run Reason's outputs through the desk and it's dynamics processors and EQ. When I first began making music with technology in the 90's this kind of capability was something I was dreaming about! An absolutely clean signal path as your mix never leaves the digital realm.
