MOTU 828es Thunderbolt/USB Audio Interface ADAT
MOTU 828es Thunderbolt/USB Audio Interface ADAT. I've been using this for the last year at my studio and it's been great - I'm just changing to an interface with more I/O. It's a great setup for if you have some pre's with ADAT out (there are 2 ADAT ins here) and you can run your monitoring from the AVB software - it has a console style buss setup that's easy to use.
The routing matrix looks massive but makes sense and is super flexible. Monitor control A/B/mono/mute from front panel is great if you keep it within reach and the built in talkback is good for creeping out band members.. It's in really great condition - I racked it and never took it out. Front panel is as new. Only scratch is in paintwork next to Thunderbolt socket on rear where I've tried to locate it by touch in the back of my crowded dark rack and slightly missed with the plug! It's in the 7th photo. As you can see I've got the box. It doesn't have original polystyrene in there but I've got some great packing for gear so it'll be safe and sound. Not sure if I can find the manual but they're all on website where you'll get drivers. It's recently had a firmware update but keep an eye on them. Also, the AVB software that'll run your mixing on screen gets regular updates. Dispatched with Other Courier (3 to 5 days).
